Terms of Service

Last updated 16 September 2026

These terms cover this app and the @ScriptureFountain YouTube and TikTok channels (together, "Scripture Fountain"), operated independently from Cape Town, South Africa. By using Scripture Fountain, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, simply don't use it — there's no account to cancel and nothing to opt out of.

What Scripture Fountain is

Scripture Fountain shares a short King James Version scripture reading, three times a day, every day, through this app and its YouTube/TikTok channels. It is free to use, requires no sign-up, and is not a commercial product or service — see About for the full story.

Content and use

  • The scripture text itself (King James Version) is in the public domain and belongs to no one.
  • The videos, app design, layout, and Scripture Fountain branding are not public domain — you're welcome to share and quote from them personally, but please don't re-upload, resell, or rebrand them as your own.
  • You agree not to use Scripture Fountain for anything unlawful, or to try to disrupt, hack, or overload the app or its infrastructure.

Donations

Donations made through the Support page are entirely voluntary, are processed by PayPal under PayPal's own terms, and don't entitle the donor to any goods, services, membership, or special access in return. See About for exactly what donations fund. Donations are non-refundable except where required by law.

No warranty

Scripture Fountain is provided "as is," for devotional and informational purposes, without warranty of any kind. It is not professional, theological, pastoral, legal, or medical advice, and shouldn't be relied on as a substitute for any of those. We do our best to keep the app and its content available and accurate, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted access or that every reference is error-free.

Third-party platforms

Your use of YouTube and TikTok themselves — including watching, following, commenting, or messaging — is governed by those platforms' own terms of service, not this document.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scripture Fountain and its operator aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or channels. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under South African consumer protection law that can't lawfully be excluded.

Changes

These terms may be updated occasionally; the "Last updated" date above will change when they do. Continuing to use Scripture Fountain after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
